When Are We Most Productive?

Once small businesses have sorted themselves out with the best VOIP for small businesses, they need to work out the best way to keep themselves productive.

Self-employed people or people who work from home do have the advantage of being able to work when they think they will work best, rather than being forced into the standard nine to five.

However, figuring out when we are most productive is something humans are infamously bad at realising. It is quite hard to be that self aware, and indeed, honest with ourselves.

One of the most common problems is that we think we can get everything done, from the delegation, to the communication, to the school run, the laundry and catching up with friends. Never mind actually getting the actual work that needs to be done, done.

Despite this chronic busyness in our lives, there is one very good way to figure out just how much you can get done according to experts: listen to your biological clock.

And how do you do this? If you have ever heard of keeping a ‘done list’ rather than a ‘to do’ list then you will know how successful this can be. One expert suggests keeping an informal ‘done’ diary.

Virginia Fraser, senior communications editor at Insights Learning & Development tells Business News Daily: “You can begin to see patterns that could help you restructure your work day to align with your most productive work patterns,”

So, there you have it, keep a diary of how well things are going, and you will be able to maximise your output. If only you had time to actually get around to doing it though….
